This month, we are featuring three of our stylists: Matt, Justin and Sabrina who are recent additions to our team. Q&A with Matt

Q: What do you love most about working with clients at Fish?
A: I love connecting with clients and sharing a good laugh (or some fun gossip!) while we chat about our lives. I also enjoy creating long-term hair plans. Let’s discuss where your style might evolve and fresh looks we might try in a future appointment.

Q: What can new clients expect during their first appointment with you?
A: A fun, relaxed vibe and plenty of conversation. My goal is to make you feel great about your hair while also having a splendid time!

Q: What’s a Tacklebox Beauty product you can’t live without?
A: R+Co Aircraft Pomade Mousse is part of my daily ritual when styling my own hair. It’s amazing on both short and long hair, giving just the right amount of texture and definition.

Q: What do you love most about working with clients at Fish?
A: I really love to make clients feel good about themselves. No matter what someone is going through, a fresh haircut or new colour can instantly lift their confidence and add a spark of happiness to their day. I always go home feeling good about my role in this.

Q: What can new clients expect during their first appointment with you?
A: You can expect a warm smile, a calm presence, and a thoughtful consultation. I’ll take time to listen to your hair goals and vision and offer my insights to ensure you leave with hair you love.

Q: What do you love most about working with clients at Fish?
A: I love building real connections. Every appointment is a chance to get to know someone better, and often those conversations lead to friendship. Being able to make people feel comfortable and leave feeling their best is the highlight of my work.

Q: What can new clients expect during their first appointment with you?
A: A calm, welcoming experience. I like to create a relaxed atmosphere with easy conversation. If you love music, I’m sure we will discuss some of our favourites. If you have pets, I’ll be asking about them and insisting on seeing pictures. We will also connect on your hair vision to ensure that you leave feeling refreshed and happy.
