Meet Anji— our newest stylist at Fish

We’re thrilled to introduce Anji who recently started at Fish to help assist our executive stylist James and also take her own clients on Wednesdays. Anji is a joy to work with as she always brings her bright and positive spirit to our space and loves to support clients reach their hair goals. Get to know her a little better in this Q&A:

How would you describe your personality in 5 words?
Passionate, Creative, Ambitious, Empathetic, Expressive.

What has it been like to assist and learn from James at Fish?
It has been the most fantastic learning experience! Watching and learning from James is truly a privilege. He is so knowledgeable and makes learning exciting. I really enjoy seeing the great connections he’s made with his clients and I am inspired by this for my future career.

What kind of services do you love doing?
I love everything to do with hair. My favourite services so far are all colour services (especially blonding services), men’s cuts, and layered haircuts! 

What can a client expect when first meeting you at Fish?
They can expect a kind greeting and a relaxing experience with good conversation, as I love to get to know my clients.

Stylists Abroad in Milan

In September, our stylists Angela, Yasmin and James travelled to Milan, Italy for the Goldwell ColorSphere event. This gathering celebrated artistry, innovation, and the future of hair with top stylists across the globe. Our team participated in master classes in cutting, colouring, and also the business side of the hair industry. They also took part in a hands-on hair styling class with a group of 100 amazing stylists. A highlight of the event was the hair competition where previous national winners from across the world competed in a live hands-on competition recreating a look from a photo they previously submitted.

The opportunity to travel and learn in Milan has fueled our stylists to continue to evolve and grow in global trends and bring this knowledge back to the chairs of Fish Hair Salon.
